ACCOMMODATIONS:

There are two ways to arrange housing for workshops held in Dixon.

FOR ACCOMMODATIONS  ARRANGED WITH WORKSHOP REGISTRATION:

Everything happens at The Mission Embudo: painting, sensing, meeting, eating

and sleeping.  The Mission is located in the heart of Dixon, within walking distance of the post office, library, local food co-op, thrift store, art gallery and the Embudo River.

(If you want to stay at The Mission Embudo, please reserve your room when you register for a workshop, either with Studio Exanimo or The Painting Experience.)

The Mission Embudo Accommodations

 Two casitas:

Casita #1 has a kitchen, a double bed and private bath.  Single.  $60/night.

Casita #2 has two twin beds and a private bath.  Single or double.  $50/night.

(The Mission Apartment kitchen is available if a kitchen is needed.)

Attached Mission Apartment: We rent the apartment attached to the Mission

to provide economical housing during a workshop.  There are three bedrooms.

They can be rented as single or double occupancy depending on the needs of

the workshop participants.  The apartment also has a full kitchen, dining room,

living room and bathroom.  There is a dormitory style bathroom available for use.

FOR ACCOMMODATIONS YOU ARRANGE FOR YOURSELF:

Check these places out for yourself and make your own arrangements for lodging.  They are all within walking or biking distance to the workshop site.  They have full kitchens and Dixon has a great local co-op plus a Farmer's Market on Wednesday afternoons through the summer.  Each place could be rented alone or as shared lodging.  If you like one of these places and want a roommate, please contact Sarah.

It is advisable to make lodging arrangements early.  The places listed suggest a

minimum to maximum number of people the lodging could accommodate during a

stay.  During a workshop it is recommended to rent to the minimum number suggested.  This gives roommates personal space, as well as community space.

Meals:

Meals are prepared and served at The Mission Embudo.  Yes, most of the lodging

comes equipped with a full kitchen but it can be quite wonderful to not have to

worry about meals while participating in a workshop.  Eating together, family style in the dining room, which was a movie set for Tortilla Heaven, and enjoying delicious

meals prepared by a wonderful chef, is part of the workshop experience.

Two meal plans are offered to anyone attending the workshop.  Please let us know

if you want meals and the meal plan you want when you register for the workshop.

Plan #1:  Breakfast, lunch and dinner, includes snacks and beverages.  $35/day*

Plan #2:  Lunch and dinner, includes snacks and beverages.  $28/day*

(*Prices are from last year's workshop.  This year's prices have yet to be determined.)
